Introduction: Bipolar disorder is combined with chronic symptoms that have effect on cognitive abilities and executive functions. The purpose of present study was to investigate efficacy of mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) on impulsivity and self-inhibition in the patients with bipolar disorder under medical treatment.
Methods: This study was quasi-experimental, pretest-posttest design with the control group. 30 men and women with bipolar disorder referred to psychiatry center of Almahdi Welfare in Esfahan were selected through convenience sampling method and assigned in two groups: experimental (14) and control (16) randomly. Both groups performed behavioral impulsivity scale (BIS-11) and self-inhibition scale (SRS) in the pretest and posttest phases. Experimental group was treated with mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) for 8 sessions. The data were analyzed by MANCOVA.
Results: Covariate analyze demonstrated that of mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) was effective on reducing the impulsivity and increasing the self-inhibition in the experimental group.
Conclusion: Based on this finding, reduce cognitive impulsivity and motor impulsivity, and increase self-inhibition in anger control, impulse control and respect for others dimensions, is because of mindfulness based on cognitive therapy. Considering psychological intervention based on mindfulness, in addition to medical treatment is of particular importance.

Introduction: To perform a proper restoration, we are required to observe the principles in a framework of the restorative dentistry. Regardless of these criteria, rapid repair failure occurs. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical performance of composite restorations placed by dental students in Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Science in 2014-2016.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 200 restorations were performed in the Faculty of Yazd Dentistry in the years 2014-2016 through a clinical examination and completion of the questionnaire by the patients were examined. The results were evaluated by descriptive statistics and Chi-squared / Fisher's exact test using SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL; Version 16.
Results: In general, 5% of the restoration were completely defective and considered as successful repairs. 12% of the restoration failed in the clinical examination. The main reason for the failure of these restorations was the secondary caries with irreversible pulpitis. Finally, 83% of the restoration had defects, but these teeth were considered as functionally present.
Conclusion: Dental students are able to place resin composite restorations in teeth with an acceptable annual failure (P>.05).

Introduction: The emergence and spread of the pandemic H1N1 influenza virus in 2009 indicates a limitation in the strategy to control the infection, despite a long-established vaccination programme and approved antivirals. Production the proper vaccine against influenza is difficult due to the genetic recombination of virus in the event of pandemic and co-circulation of drug-resistance variants highlights the need for the development of new effective and broad-spectrum influenza therapies. Currently, the investigations lie on viral attachment and entry inhibitors, and more attention focuses on viral genome replication and transcription inhibitors in such a way that selective pressure applied by the use of antiviral drugs has covered against all strains. In this review, the novel antiviral agents that targeted the virus-cell membrane attachment, and transcription of the viral genome are discussed

Introduction: Chemotherapy has been restricted due to the high-dose side effects. In the present study, acceleration of the chemotherapeutic drug (5FU) entrance into MCF-7 cells has been explored by using a recombinant form of Fragaceatoxin C (FraC) pore-forming toxin.
Methods: In this experimental study, the gene for FraC toxin was order from a commercial source and was sub-cloned into pET28a vector using NcoI and XhoI restriction enzymes. Expression of the protein was induced by IPTG and purification was performed using Ni-NTA affinity chromatography. Hemolysis was tested using a turbidimetric assay. Cytotoxic and potentiation effects of the recombinant toxin on 5FU chemotherapeutic drug were analyzed using trypan blue and MTT assays. T-student test was used to analyze the data using the SPSS v16 software. Significance was defined as P≤0.05
Results: Recombinant FraC toxin was produced in E. coli with 86% purity. Cytotoxic effects of the FraC toxin in MCF-7 cells were dose and time-dependent. the IC50 of FraC toxin on MCF-7 cells was 3.3 mg/ml. Non-toxic concentrations of recombinant FraC toxin enhanced cytotoxic effects of 5FU by a factor of 4 to 6 in different exposure times (24-72 h).
Conclusion: Potentiation of the 5FU chemotherapeutic effect by acceleration of its entrance into cancer target cells using FraC pore-forming toxin can reduce its side effects of the chemotherapy.

Introduction: Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) has a high prevalence in societies, taking into account subclinical symptoms, which can affect significantly the quality of life of individuals. The history of trauma to the joint or chin includes events leading to TMD. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relative frequency of TMD in the patients with mandibular fracture in Yazd city, Iran, during 2015-2017.
Methods: The present descriptive cross-sectional study examined the data of 295 patients with mandibular trauma that referred to trauma management centers in Yazd during 2015-2017. The patients' information was recorded in the questionnaires consisting age, gender, cause of trauma, type and location of fracture, type of treatment and type of TMD. Finally, data were analyzed by SPSS software version 17 using descriptive statistics, Chi-square and Fisher's exact tests.
Results: The study included 225 males and 70 females. The mean age of the patients was 25 years. In addition, the relative frequency of temporomandibular joint sounds and mandibular deviation in mouth opening was greater than other disorders.
Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the mandibular fracture caused by traffic collision seems to increase the risk of TMD.

Introduction: Diminished physiological tolerance induced heart failure among the elderly patients limit doing their daily activities. Exercising as a non-medical intervention is not usually mentioned for daily activities promotion. The current study was conducted aiming to explore the effects of aerobic and resistance exercise program on physical adaptation in the elderly men patients with heart failure.
Methods: This study was a randomized clinical trial design. The study population was all the male elderlies suffering from heart failure type 2 and 3. All the 60 elderlies were randomly assigned using block-randomized allocation into the intervention and the control groups. The study field was Echocardiography ward at Imam Sajjad Hospital in Ramsar. The exercise program was performed for three months in the intervention group. The physical adaptation was assessed in four different time intervals (before 1, 2, and 3 months and also after intervention) and the results were compared between the groups. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 16. Adaptation scores were calculated using the indices, including descriptive statistics and then the following tests were performed: independent and paired t-test, repeated ANOVA, and Bonferoni tests.
Results: The results showed a significant statistical difference between the mean scores of distances walked in 6 minutes in four points between the two groups (P≤0.001). The aerobic and resistance exercise programs had promoted the physical adaptation among the elderlies with heart failure as our results approved (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Aerobic and resistance exercises can help in promoting the physical adaptation in doing the daily activities in the elderly with heart failure.

Introduction: Adiponectin is one of the most important adipose derived hormone that conflicting data are available about serum changes of adiponectin at different ages. The present study was done to determine the age related changes in serum adiponectin and its association with insulin resistance (IR) indices in aging in male rats.
Methods: In this study, serum samples were obtained from male rats at different ages, including 2, 5, 10, 18, 52 and 72 weeks age (n=10 in each age group). Oral glucose tolerance and glucose stimulated insulin secretion tests were measured using determination of glucose concentrations at 15, 30, 45 and 60 min after oral ingestion of glucose (1 mg/kg body weight) for each animal. Serum adiponectin and insulin levels were determined using species specific ELISA kits. HOMA-IR was calculated based on glucose and insulin concentrations. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 16 software (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL) also using one way analysis of variance and LSD posthoc tests.
Results: Our results showed an age dependent decrease in serum adiponectin concentration, and 72-week old rats had the lowest level of adiponectin compared with those in other ages (p<0.05). IR indices, including fasting glucose, insulin, HOMA-IR and response to oral glucose ingestion was increased in an age dependent manner and 72-week old rats showed the highest levels of the IR indices.
Conclusion: Regarding the role of adiponectin in glucose homeostasis and insulin sensitization, it seems that reduction of serum adiponectin with age progression may be an important mechanism of insulin resistance in aging.

Introduction: Hydatidosis (hydatid cyst) is one of the most common infectious diseases between humans and animals that it is created by parasite (tapeworm) the echinococcusgranulosus larvae, which randomly infects an individual to one or more cysts. The hydatid cyst can affect all organs. The most common sites of involvement is liver and lung and rarely other organs, such as the kidneys, the brain, the heart, the bone and the spleen, can also be involved.
Due to the rare occurrence of renal hydatid cyst in this article, we report a 50 year old patient with renal hydatid cyst.
