fa مروری بر عوارض و تظاهرات چشمی عفونت ویروس نیل غربی A Review of Complications and Ocular Manifestations of West Nile Virus Infection میکروبیولوژی Microbiology مروری Review article <div style="text-align: justify;">مقدمه: ویروس نیل غربی (West Nile Virus) یک RNA ویروس پوشش‌دار، تک رشته‌ای، عضو خانواده Flaviviridae و عامل ایجاد بیماری‌های مشترک بین انسان و دام می‌باشد. در این پژوهش ضمن بررسی حدود 40 مقاله درباره تظاهرات چشمی ناشی از ویروس نیل غربی در سایت‌های Magiran ،Googlescholar ،SID  و... به زبان‌های فارسی و انگلیسی یافته‌های مهم استخراج و پس از ارزیابی و مقایسه بیان گردیده است. در حالی‌که تب و بیماری عصبی و سایر تظاهرات سیستمیک عفونت ویروس نیل غربی شناخته‌شده‌ترین تظاهرات بالینی هستند، یافته‌های بالینی مرتبط با تظاهرات چشمی کمتر مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. شایع‌ترین ویژگی‌های چشمی گزارش شده عفونت عبارتند از ضایعات کوریورتینال پراکنده غیر اختصاصی و یا خطی، یووئیت قدامی، واسکولیت شبکیه، نوریت اپتیک و ویتریت. نیستاگموس، فلج عصب دور کننده، ادم دیسک بینایی، عدم وجود رفلکس قرنیه، تاری دید، مگس‌پران، قرمزی، نقص میدان بینایی و دوبینی نیز در مواردی گزارش شده است. علائم چشمی عفونت نیل غربی عموماً خود محدود شونده هستند. نتیجه‌گیری: این واقعیت که تظاهرات چشمی مرتبط با عفونت نیل غربی به تازگی شناسایی شده است، پیش‌‌آگهی طولانی‌مدت در بیماران را دشوار می‌کند. با این‌حال، اکثر بیمارانی که با کوریورتینیت مراجعه می‌کنند، با گذشت زمان بهبود می‌یابند و حدت بینایی آن‌ها پس از چند ماه به حالت اولیه باز می‌گردد. بنابراین ماهیت خودمحدود شونده علائم ناشی از عفونت ویروس نیل غربی در تشخیص افتراقی موارد درگیری و اتخاذ شیوه درست در مداخلات درمانی حائز اهمیت می‌باشد.  </div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Introduction: The West Nile Virus is a single-stranded RNA virus with an envelope that is part of the Flaviviridae family, and it causes diseases that can be transmitted between humans and animals. This research involved a review of around 40 articles regarding the ocular manifestations linked to the West Nile Virus, utilizing sources including Magiran, Google Scholar, SID, and others in Persian and English. Key results were gathered and showcased following assessment and comparison. . Although fever, neurological disorders, and other systemic manifestations of West Nile virus infection are the most recognized clinical signs, findings related to ocular symptoms have been studied less extensively.  The most common ocular features of infection reported are non-specific scattered or linear chorioretinal lesions, anterior uveitis, retinal vasculitis, optic neuritis, and vitritis. Nystagmus, abductor nerve paralysis, optic disc edema, lack of corneal reflex, blurred vision, flying flies, redness, visual field defect and diplopia have also been reported in some cases. Ocular symptoms of West Nile virus infection typically resolve on their own. Conclusion: The recent identification of ocular manifestations associated with West Nile infection complicates long-term prognosis for patients. Nevertheless, the majority of patients exhibiting chorioretinitis improve gradually, and their visual acuity reverts to its previous condition within several months.
