fa سندرم تخمدان پلی‌کیستیک: علایم بالینی، ژن های دخیل در ایجاد بیماری و راه های تشخیص آن Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome: Clinical Features, Genetics of Disease, and Diagnosis Criteria زیست شناسی Biology مروری Review article <div style="text-align: justify;">مقدمه: سندرم تخمدان پلی‌کیستیک (PCOS) یک بیماری غدد درون‌ریز پیچیده است که 10-7 درصد از زنان در سن باروری را تحت تأثیر قرار می‌دهد. PCOS به طور کلی با پرمویی، افزایش سطح هورمون‌های آندروژن و تخمدان‌های پلی‌کیستیک مشخص می‌شود. مقاومت به انسولین مشخصه PCOS است که شیوع قابل توجهی دارد. با وجود مطالعات متعدد، علت دقیق PCOS هنوز مشخص نشده است. PCOS یک سندرم چند عاملی با طیف گسترده‌ای از ناهنجاری‌های ژنتیکی، غدد درون‌ریز، عوامل مولکولی و محیطی محسوب می‌شود. تغییر در بیان چندین ژن و miRNA در بیماران PCOS، به یک روش مفید و غیرتهاجمی در توصیف PCOS در دهه‌های اخیر تبدیل شده است. از طرف دیگر، تغییر در سطح ترشح هورمون‌های جنسی مانند تستوسترون، پروژسترون و استروژن می‌تواند تأیید معتبری برای PCOS باشد. چندین روش و دارو برای درمان PCOS از جمله استفاده از آنتی آندروژن‌ها، حساس کننده‌های انسولین و جراحی چاقی استفاده می‌شود. نتیجه‌گیری: در مجموع، PCOS یک ناهنجاری رایج در بین زنان است که نه تنها باروری را تحت‌تأثیر قرار می‌دهد، بلکه بر جنبه‌های مختلف زندگی، از اضطراب تا دیابت نوع 2 نیز تأثیر‌ می‌گذارد. زنان، به ‌ویژه در کشورهای جهان سوم باید به سبک زندگی و رژیم غذایی خود که نقش مهمی در پیش‌گیری از PCOS دارد، اهمیت دهند. روش‌های جدید در تشخیص و درمان PCOS منجر به کاهش عوارض جانبی PCOS می‌شود.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Introduction: The polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex endocrine condition affecting 7-10% of women in reproductive age. PCOS is generally characterized by hirsutism, hyperandrogenism, and polycystic ovaries. Insulin resistance is the hallmark of PCOS with a considerable prevalence. Despite numerous studies, the etiology of PCOS haas not been cleared yet; PCOS is considered a multifactorial syndrome with a wide range of genetic, endocrine, molecular, and environmental abnormalities. Altered expression of several genes and miRNAs in PCOS patients has become a useful and non-invasive method in the characterization of PCOS in the last decades. On the other hand, altered secretion of sexual hormones like testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen can be a valid confirmation of PCOS. Several methods and drugs are used to treat PCOS like anti-androgens, insulin sensitizers, and bariatric surgery. Conclusion: Taken together, PCOS is a common abnormality among women and not only does affect fertility, but also influences different aspects of their life from anxiety to type two diabetes. Women, especially in third world countries should care about their lifestyle and diet, which has a vital role in the prevention of PCOS.
