fa مقایسه دقت فرمولی جدید با فرمول تاناکا ـ جانسون در پیش‌بینی عرض مزیودیستالی کانین و پرمولرهای دایمی رویش نیافته دندانپزشکی Dental پژوهشي Original article مقدمه: از آنجایی که پیش‌بینی عرض مزیودیستالی دندان‌های رویش نیافته به تشخیص مال اکلوژن و نحوه تکامل سیستم دندانکی کمک می کند. هدف از این مطالعه پیش‌بینی عرض مزیودیستالی دندان‌های کانین و پرمولرهای دایمی رویش نیافته در دوره دندانی مختلط است. روش بررسی: در این مطالعه 120 جفت کست دندانی افراد 30-12 سال انتخاب و بیشترین عرض مزیودیستالی تاج دندان‌های دایمی کانین و پرمولرهای اول و دوم فک بالا و پایین و انسیزورهای فک پایین و مولرهای اول بالا با دقت 01/0 میلی‌متر اندازه‌گیری شدند. عرض مزیودیستالی کانین و پرمولرها در هر دو فک بالا و پایین در فرمول جدید بر اساس مولرهای اول دایمی بالا و سانترال‌های میانی دایمی پایین تخمین زده شد و با فرمول تاناکا ـ جانسون مورد مقایسه قرارگرفت. نتایج: میانگین واقعی عرض مزیودیستالی دندان‌های کانین و پرمولرهای دایمی در فک بالا 22/21 میلی‌متر و در فک پایین 98/20 میلی‌متر بود و مقدار برآورد شده توسط فرمول جدید در فک بالا 64/21 میلی‌متر و در فک پایین 69/21 میلی‌متر و بر اساس فرمول تاناکا ـ جانسون در فک بالا41/22 میلی‌متر و در فک پایین92/21 میلی‌متر بود. با استفاده از آزمون‌های ANOVA و پیرسون مشخص گردید که مقادیر به دست آمده از دو فرمول به ترتیب از نظر آماری معنی‌دار می‌باشد (701/0r = ، 001/0Pvalue<). نتیجه‌گیری: تخمین مجموع عرض مزیودیستالی کانین و پرمولرهای رویش نیافته در جمعیت ایرانی (یزد) به کمک فرمول جدید زعیم با توجه به قابلیت استفاده در سن پایین‌تر و دقت بیشتر، نسبت به فرمول تاناکا ـ جانسون بهتر می‌باشد. Introduction: It is important to predict mesiodistal crown width of the unerupted permanent canine and premolars in the mixed dentition, which helps to better determine malocclusion and its further development. Methods: In this study, 120 pair of dental study casts, belonged to subjects aged between 12-30 years, were selected and measured in the most mesiodistal width of permanent canines and premolars of both jaws, lower permanent incisors, and first upper permanent molars with the accuracy of 0/01 mm. Mesiodistal width of permanent canine and premolars in upper and lower jaws were estimated by new formula based on the permanent first upper molars and lower central incisors and then were compared with Tanaka-johnson formula. Results: The actual mean for sum of the mesiodistal width of permanent canines and premolars in the upper jaw was 21/22 mm and in the lower was 20/98 mm. The mean for sum of mesiodistal permanent canine and premolars were estimated by new formula in upper and lower jaw as 21/64 mm and 21/69 mm respectively. On the other hand, via Tanaka-Johnson formula, the predictions in upper and lower jaw were 22/41 mm and 21/92 mm respectively. Statistical analyses by means of ANOVA and Pearson correlation test revealed significant differences (P<0.001, r = 0.701).
