fa بررسی مورفولوژی ریشه وکانال دندان های پرمولر اول و دوم ماگزیلا بوسیله توموگرافی کامپیوتری با اشعه مخروطی در بیماران مراجعه کننده به یک کلینیک خصوصی شهریزد Evaluation of the Root and Canal Morphology of Maxillary first and second premolar teeth in patients referring to a private clinic in Yazd by cone-beam computed tomography دندانپزشکی Dental پژوهشي Original article مقدمه: مطالعات نشان داده اند که دندانهای پرمولر ماگزیلا شکل کانال گوناگونی دارند. تصاویر توموگرافی کامپیوتری با اشعه مخروطی (CBCT)، برای ارزیابی کانال ریشه بسیار کاربردی می باشد.؛ لذا این مطالعه با هدف بررسی مورفولوژی ریشه و کانال دندان های پرمولر اول و دوم ماگزیلا بوسیله  CBCTدر بیماران مراجعه کننده به یک کلینیک خصوصی شهر یزد انجام شد. مواد و روش ها: تصاویر CBCT 357 دندان پرمولر اول ودوم ماگزیلا انتخاب شد. ابزار گردآوری اطلاعات، چک لیست از پیش تهیه شده، شامل تعداد ریشه، تعداد کانال، تایپ کانال، جنسیت، نوع دندان و سمت بود. داده‌ها وارد نرم افزار 22SPSS گردید و با آزمون‌های Chi-Square و T-test آنالیز آماری انجام شد. یافته ها: نتایج مطالعه نشان داد که 9/60% از دندان های پرمولر اول، یک ریشه، 38% دو ریشه و 1/1% سه ریشه بودند؛ و 9/91% از دندانهای پرمولر دوم، یک ریشه و1/8% دوریشه داشتند. 4/23% از دندانهای پرمولراول، یک کانال، 5/75% دوکانال و 1/1% سه کانال داشتند؛ و 4/69% از دندان های پرمولر دوم، یک کانال و 6/30% دوکانال بود. شایعترین تایپ کانال در دندانهای پرمولر اول و دوم تایپ I بود. فراوانی متغیرهای تعداد کانال دندان، تعداد ریشه، نوع دندان و تایپ کانال دندان بر حسب جنسیت و سمت، از نظر آماری معنادار نبود. نتیجه گیری: شایعترین تایپ کانال، در دندان های پرمولر ماگزیلای جمعیت مورد مطالعه، تایپ Ӏ ورتوچی بود؛ و متغیرهای سمت و جنسیت بر روی فراوانی تعداد ریشه و کانال موثر نبودند.   <a name="_Toc472627750"></a>Introduction: Studies have shown that maxillary premolar teeth have a variable shape of the canal. Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), is very useful for evaluating the shape of the root canal. So this study was performed to evaluate the Root and Canal Morphology of Maxillary first and second premolar teeth, in patients referring to a private clinic in Yazd by cone-beam computed tomography. Materials and methods: 357 CBCT of first and second maxillary premolars were selected. The data gathering tool was a pre-prepared check list, which included: number of root, number of canals, type of canal, gender, type of tooth, involved side. Data was collected by SPSS version 22 and analyzed by Chi-Square and t-tests. Result: The 60.9% of the first premolars had one root, 38% had two roots and 1.1% had three roots. 91.9% of the second premolars had one root and 8.1% had two roots. 23.4% of the first premolar teeth had one canal, 75.5% had two canals and 1.1% had three canals. 69.4% of the second premolar teeth had one canal and 30.6% was two canals. The most common type of canal in the first (58.1%) and second premolar (80.3%) was type I.There was no statistically significant difference between the frequency distribution of variables: number of dental canals, number of roots, type of tooth, type of dental canal in terms of gender and side. Conclusion: The most common type of canal, in our study samples was type I Vertucci classification.
