fa ارتباط بی‌دندانی با شاخص‌های آناتومیک فک پایین: رادیوگرافی‌های پانورامیک بیماران مراجعه کننده به بخش رادیولوژی دانشکده دندانپزشکی یزد Relationship of Edentulism on Anatomical Indicators: Panoramic Radiographs of Patients Referred to Radiology Department of Yazd Faculty Dentistry دندانپزشکی Dental پژوهشي Original article <div style="text-align: justify;">مقدمه: بی‌دندانی کامل به معنای از دست‌دادن تمام دندان‌های طبیعی و دائمی است. این وضعیت، بر کیفیت زندگی فرد مانند صحبت کردن، لبخند زدن و غذا خوردن تأثیر می‌گذارد. در این مطالعه ارتباط بی‌دندانی با شاخص‌های آناتومیک فک پایین در تصاویر پانورامیک بررسی شد. روش بررسی: تصاویر پانورامیک در سه گروه مسن بی‌دندان (69-50 سال) مسن با دندان (69-50سال) و جوان با دندان (20-39 سال) از مراجعین به دانشکده دندانپزشکی انتخاب شد. شاخص‌های Gonial Angle (GA)، Antegonial Notch Depth (AND)، Ramus Notch Depth (RND)، (RH) Ramus Notch Depth و Condylar Height  (CH) انداره‌گیری و در چک لیست ثبت شد و جهت مقایسه‌های آماری از آزمون‌های ANOVA , T-test و کای اسکویر و Fisher Exact Test در نرم افزار SPSS استفاده شد. نتایج: تفاوت معنی‌داری در GA، CH، RH، AND و RND در بین سه گروه مشاهده شد (0/001 > P). افراد بی دندان، میانگین RH کمتری نسبت به گروه بادندان مسن نشان دادند. تفاوت معنی‌داری در GA در بین گروه‌ها وجود داشت و افراد بی‌دندان میانگین مقادیر بالاتری از GA را نسبت به گروه‌های بادندان جوان و مسن نشان دادند (0/001p<). افراد بی‌دندان دارای میانگین مقادیر بالاتری از CH نسبت به افراد دندان‌دار بودند و بین سه گروه تفاوت معنی‌داری وجود داشت (0/001p<). گروه بادندان جوان میانگین مقادیر کمتری از RND و AND را نشان دادند و تفاوت معنی‌داری بین گروه‌ها وجود داشت (0/001p<). نتیجه‌گیری: مطالعه حاضر نتیجه گرفت، شاخص‌های GA، CH، RH، AND و RND تحت تاثیر بی‌دندانیسم قرار می‌گیرند و تفاوت معنی‌دار بین گروه‌های بی‌دندان و با‌دندان‌های قدیمی و جوان مشاهده شد. بی‌دندانی ممکن است پتانسیل افزایش GA و کاهش RH را داشته باشد. با توجه به نتایج، بی‌دندانی ممکن است GA، AND و RND را تحت تاثیر قرار دهد و با افزایش سن، عمق بریدگی‌ها بیشتر شود.  </div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Introduction: Edentulism refers to the complete loss of all natural and permanent teeth. This condition can influence various aspects of a person's quality of life such as speaking, smiling and eating. In this study, the effects of edentulism on anatomical-indicators of the lower jaw were investigated in panoramic radiographic images. Methods: Panoramic images were categorized into three groups: elderly without teeth (aged 50-69 years), elderly with teeth (aged 50-69 years) and young with teeth (aged 20-39 years) from the dental faculty. The parameters measured and recorded on the checklist included Gonial Angle (GA), Antegonial Notch Depth (AND), Ramus Notch Depth (RND), Ramus Height (RH) and Condylar Height (CH).  For statistical analysis and comparison of results, ANOVA, T-test, Chi squared and Fishers exact Tests were employed. Results: A significant difference was observed in GA, CH, RH, AND, and RND among the three groups (P < 0.001). In the sub-group comparisons based on ANOVA and T-test, a significant difference was observed between the groups (P<0.001). Edentulous individuals showed a lower average RH compared with the elderly edentulous group. There was a significant difference in GA among the groups, and edentulous subjects showed higher average values of GA than young and old edentulous groups. Individuals without teeth had higher mean values of CH than people with teeth and there was a significant difference between groups. The young athletes showed lower mean values of RND, and AND. Conclusion: The present study concluded that GA, CH, RH, AND, and RND parameters are affected by edentulism and a significant difference was observed between edentulous and dentate. Edentulism may have the potential to increase GA and decrease RH. According to the results, edentulism may affect GA, AND and RND, and with increasing age, the depth of incisions increases.
